We use humane and effective methods to do bird removal in Livingston County. We will use a live removal process that is similar to our bat removal process. We will do a site inspection of your property to determine what types of birds you have and where they are nesting. We will also assess your property for likely entry points that are being used by the birds and entry points that are in need of repairs. Birds have no ability to make their own entry points. They use construction gaps or vents that are missing the proper screens. They are opportunistic when it comes to finding a nest and our wildlife proofing can make sure that your home or business is not an attractive spot to them!
Once we have determined how the birds are getting in we will install a one way door on the active entry point. During this time we will also seal all other possible entry points to your home or business. When this is done the bird will be able to leave its nest through the one way door but when they return it will not allow them back in. We will leave the one way door up for about a month in most situations. This will allow time to ensure all birds have left the nest and have been removed. If there are young birds that cannot fly in the nest we will wait to use the one way doors until they can leave on their own as well. We avoid harming any animals during our removal processes and feel all measures to let their young survive the process should be awarded to them.
We always need to address the mess birds can leave behind. It is not safe to just remove the birds and seal the attic up. We need to decontaminate the area properly to ensure the health of those living or working in the building. When the situation requires it we can also offer a full service attic restoration. This will leave your attic in perfect condition and usually result in a lower energy bill!
